There are a lot of options to choose from when planning a holiday today and its often hard to choose. One of the options to suggest to holidaymakers is a little country in the South Pacific Ocean called, New Zealand. Now, New Zealand is a small country, but surprisingly has a similar land area to Japan or England. The population is tiny in comparison. Japan has nearly 130 million people and England 50 Million. NewZealand has 4 million. The climate in New Zealand could be described as mild. We do have winter snow in the South and in the mountains of the North, but our winters are very mild compared to North America or Europe. Summers are beautiful. We avoid searing heat and enjoy pleasant coastal breezes, as in New Zealand, you are never far from the sea. Our steady rainfall makes the country green and diverse. Our low population and commitment to conservation makes us clean and full of natural beauty.

The country is divided into 2 main islands called the North and South islands. This can be further thought of as 3 "regions". North, Central and South. Each of these has an International airport and an International port, where cruise ships visit.

In the Northern region is located the main commercial centre, Auckland. With a population of around 1 million it is a harbour city with small islands dotted around its entrance in an area called the "Hauraki Gulf". New Zealand has been a regular contender in the "America's Cup" yacht racing series. As host to this competiton, all races were sailed in the Hauraki Gulf. Islands such as Waiheke are only a half hour cruise from downtown. The island offers a retreat from the busy city and is popular for its wineries and golden sand beaches. This Northern region has many unspoilt natural beaches and National Parks. Visit a pristine natural forest and meet a magnificent Kauri Tree "Tane Mahuta". A giant of the forest. Our forests are host to many bird species and home to many of our national "Kiwi" population.

In the Central region is the Political capital of the Country "Wellington". This is also a harbour city with an international port. It is the "way south", with car ferries that travel the "Cook Strait" to the South Island. In Wellington, you can enjoy the cable car, visit our National museum, shop in the bustling city centre or dine at many of the boardwalk waterfront cafes nearby.

Travelling to the "Southern" region by ferry or car, takes you to a sparcely populated land of mountains, lakes and magnificent scenery. Christchurch is the main City of this region with all the travel services an International traveller could need. From here you can visit the Mountain lakes like Queenstown and Wanaka, travel across a mountain lake and inside a hydro electric dam at Manapouri, catch Salmon in the mouth of a moutain river, snow ski at Mount Hutt (about and hour from Christchurch), enjoy the winter ski festival on Coronet Peak (4 minutes from Queenstown), Watch the penguins nesting in Oamaru, visit a huge gold mine at Macraes or see the World famous "Warbird" aircraft museum at Wanaka. As a travel destination, New Zealand is very special. Many people have it on their "To do" list and once they have been there, it stays on the list. Natural beauty abounds in a land of golden beaches, extinct and active volcanoes, mountains, farms and forests. All preserved and protected from exploitation.

A truly varied environment from fish full, gin clear, mountain lakes to the whales and dolphins that visit our coasts from Antarctica.

When you book your customers on a, Vacation to New Zealand, you will have made a huge investment in their travel pleasure and in your opportunity to book them and their friends to this unique Pacific destination again.
