We are Jai & Sandra Mandalia from Romford in Essex, UK. Jai is Head of HR at BT and I am a part time assistant to a Vicar.
We own a beautiful, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom detached vacation home on a lovely gated community called Highgate Park in Davenport near Orlando, Florida. The community backs on to a protected conservation area giving it a very peaceful feel, yet it’s only 8 miles from Disney.
We have our own private pool, large living areas and a luxury kitchen which made it, for us, a home away from home. We have decorated our home so that when you enter you feel uplifted and at home immediately. And there’s the added bonus of a games room for fun after you have left the theme parks! We spend between 4 to 8 weeks at the villa each year, usually August and then random weeks when we have gaps in our bookings
We chose Florida after visiting a few times on holiday and loving the whole Florida experience. The people are very friendly and helpful, the food is great, it is so clean just a wonderful place to vacation.
We bought an off plan villa in 2005, in a gated community, because it is the ideal, safe location for guests wanting to visit Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and the many other parks around Orlando. On top of that it also has easy access to both the Gulf Coast Beaches and the Atlantic Coast Beaches, both around an hour and a half’s drive away.
We are on a peaceful gated community with our own private security company who watch over the community and also act as concierge to guests. There are many shops and restaurants within a 5 minute drive so we really do have the best of both worlds.
We rent our villa all year round with Easter, Christmas and July/August being the busiest times. We often have Snowbirds travel down from Canada over the winter months for the warm climate.
Our rates are very competitive. We offer fantastic value for money for a beautifully maintained vacation home which all our previous guests have loved.
